I Have Full Confidence In God’s Word

I Know God Loves Me

I Serve A Living God!

I Samuel 17: 26, 32, 36

Full means…complete, absolute

Confidence…trust, assurance, faith in oneself

When Samuel anointed David, the Spirit of the Lord came upon him from that day forward.  David was a skillful musician, a man of war, but the greatest thing about him was that the Lord was with him.

The Philistines were on a mountain on one side of the valley and Israel was on a mountain on the other side.  In the valley between the two armies, Goliath paced up and down, defying Israel and challenging them to send a man to fight with him.  Goliath wasn’t just an ordinary man but he was a giant.  He was taller and stronger than anyone in Israel army.

Twice a day Goliath made mockery against King Saul and his army for 40 days before David arrived.  The people were afraid of him and they would flee when he came out and taunted them. David said to Saul, let no man’s heart fail because of Goliath:  thy servant will go and fight with this Philistine.

David knew how God blessed him to kill a lion and a bear; so he knew that he would kill this uncircumcised Philistine.  He took on the challenge and he cut off the giant’s head. He knew he served a Living God and he knew that God loved him.

Men and women of God, you have to have full confidence in God’s Word.  His Word will work for you in every situation.  He let’s us know that know weapon formed against you will prosper. By His stripes you are healed; He is your Shepherd and you shall not want.  So, whatever you face stand strong and firm on His Word.  Know that He loves you and that you serve a God that is living and not dead.  He is faithful to do all that He promised.  So, be strong in the power of His might.

God is ready right now to move on your behalf.  He is ready to show Himself mightily because YOU have full confidence in His Word!  You are not moved by your trouble but you are moved by His Word- You know that His Word works – His love is everlasting and He forever lives!  If David could do what he did because of his full confidence in a living God, so can you!
